The KNOW YOUR SCORE slogan was identified as an issue from survey feedback of rural Red Sock projects that have been undertaken.

This is mainly directed towards middle aged males, particularly those with a known family history of prostate cancer, to seek a PSA pathology benchmark which should be an ongoing event as they age.

A graph of the ongoing PSA pathology scores is created by the pathology providor, which provides an invaluable assessment tool for medical practitioners during health check consultations. These graphs can be available to any medical practitioner.

Men (and their partners) are encouraged to discuss prostate cancer issues with their medical practitioners and be aware of their actual score and it’s meaning.

Recently, increased use of PSA testing has been encouraged by Medical Authorities in Australia. This significantly reduces the need by GP’s for rectal examinations.

The KNOW YOUR SCORE initiative is available for clubs and organisations to use as awareness projects. i.e. strategic locations, workplaces, tool box meetings, etc. Stickers/ advertising material are available in the shop on this website.
